Football in the Rain

It was pissing rain like in spring on the day before first day of spring but there were still boys out there in Haggerston Park playing football. I was in a hurry to Little Georgia (Georgian cafe in London) to have Khachapuri and passed by them - click click and run, I can't be late, убют!
Do you think I could make a football photographer?1 I would be bloody bored! So no!

Breath Underground

State of being when it becomes difficult to breath and then you just inhale and exhale a very long deep one... Kinda how I feel...
I don't know what it has to do with London Underground but not everything should be directly linked, I believe. Straightforward is boring...

Claustrophobic

No man, if you are born as a claustrophobic, you're not born for skyscrapers. Took lift to 39th floor and if it had lasted 2 seconds longer I would have passed out. And then 39th is not even that high a skyscraper I was told.
And I'm planning to go to New York this spring and really doubt I will manage to see anything from above. I think view from below is more attractive anyway. Show me the underground of THE city, man!

Over-Exposed

- Wait, one more.
And the face displeased (рожа недовольная), you know, one of those, when the photographed is so annoyed to be asked to be photographed (especially on a moody Sunday)...
"The one more" one was not overexposed but both the photographer and the photographed preferred this one.
Sometimes mistakes can make a nice picture as long as there's some kind of mood in them...
"You can be exposed by the sun or someone. Both are equally natural. As long as it does not burn you..." O.N.

Morning Soho

There are places in London I only recognise in the darkness and Soho is one of them... Even if I'm dumbest thing in directions, I still navigate well in Soho.. (Well, relatively well).. Put me there daytime, I'm lost. Had quite an early stroll there this morning... Empty... Nothing happening... If you wonder if I got lost or not, no I didn't as I tried to stay close to the main road... :/

Boring Mondays

Do we all agree that Mondays are as boring as they can get? They are so boring, we can even agree on hating it. So boring I didn't take any pictures. So boring, I can't even find another reason of not taking a picture. Thanks Jizuz it's not Tuesday or something...
Isn't this guy's profile almost similar to Lenin's?

SUN-day Dot

Be jealous non-Londoners! Sometimes this grey city is so amazing to surprisingly bless us with a sunny spring day in the middle of February, on the weekend, and on the day when I will so much more appreciate it...
And a walk by the canal to Camden... Coffee on a bench under the sun... And very few clicks as I couldn't distract myself by other people's happiness as I myself had loads to digest... And spring WILL come soon... #MaleGazafxuliMova #PrekrasnyjDen'

Midsummer Night's Ass

Very disappointed with the performance - Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream - I went to see at Barbican. People had fun though laughing their asses off seeing a huge, hairy, naked ass rolling on the stage every once in a while. I have nothing against asses but wasn't really done with taste in my humble opinion. Thing I enjoyed the most was "metal curtains" during the interval.

Love-ly Day

I don't do Valentines. It really just reminds me of my Russian teacher Valentina Jonavna. (Was her dad's name John, I wonder?!) If you CAN love, celebrate it every day... until it's gone. Cus then a box of heart-shaped chocolates won't help, really.. :)
It was a love-ly beginning of today (which has nothing to do with V)... And then I had a long walk to Green Park and took a picture of a guy in a Green Hat.

5 Min!

Waiting for 5 minutes at the Angel station... I hate waiting and am always late myself...

For Brick Lane Lovers or Street Art Lovers (Maybe)

Had a little walk on Brick Lane this morning and was almost "gone with the wind" (It's crazy windy in London today)

I Feel Love

They feel it before the upcoming Valentine's day. I feel it every single day. And I don't care about saint V... Because saint V cares about me. :)

No Sochi

If there was no Sochi, I would have shot something nice today, as it's Sunday and usually nice things happen on Sundays in London.. Instead, I spent this precious day working on Sochi... So I thought, let's dig out something from my archive that's more or less sporty...

Spontaneous is More Fun

They plan everything here and it's a little boring! But after a while you become one of them. For example, I already know what I will be doing in summer! On the other hand, after u get used to this, then spontaneity is so much more exciting...

I spoke some Russian yesterday #nikidala

Deadly Rhythm

Friday night out in South London, Peckham at Bussey Building dancing on Deadly Rhythms was pretty cool. Lots of weirdos, good music, drugs, alcohol, litres of sweat, fart'n'dart, peeing on the dance floor (I swear),  even police at some point was there, rain, smoking etc etc etc - basically a PROPER night out...

Drug users, beware of flashlights.

One is Gay

I'm missing out (physically) on everything happening in London, related to #LGBT #Sochi.

Maximum I can do, on the way to work, is take a picture of a gay rights poster on a bus... Boring, I know...

We all know now that "...there are no gays in Sochi..." as the city mayor said not long ago in an interview with BBC, but we all as well know that there actually ARE gays in Sochi, and not just visitor gays but Sochian gays as well... So this is my little contribution for the support of those OUT in Sochi - local or foreign...

I preferred this one... Haven't come across it for a while...

Jesus Died for Somebody's Sins But Not Mine

"Today marks very special day. It is the 100th birthday of William S. Burroughs... So tonight is the centennial William Burroughs' celebration... (A long pause) ...If anyone's unhappy with that.... uum... Fuck you!" - I saw Patti Smith live first time (and hopefully not last) in London today...

Last few weeks I've been reading, watching and listening to her a lot. I was getting ready. And, yes, I was expecting something extraordinary and it actually was beyond that...

How was it?! I really don't think I have enough words in my vocabulary to exactly describe my feelings, so if you really wonder, give me a call and I'm gonna try and express it in sounds... I felt emotional, (tears even) I felt powerful, I felt happy and sad... I felt inspired and I felt that "...Be grateful for your life.... The best fucking thing we have..." I went alone, which i shouldn't have done. At some point I so wanted to share my emotions I almost hugged an old couple sitting beside me. And towards the end when she sang Horses, I could finally stand up and move... I couldn't hold it inside anymore... So did the whole hall... "Jesus died for somebody's sins but not mine..." was the culmination...

Horses. Patti Smith and her son Jackson Smith.

I waited for 40 minutes outside doors with few other people standing there with pens and papers. I had my book Just Kids and a pen prepared... After 40 minutes her son Jackson appeared in the doors and she followed right away but she apologised and said she was "very tired..." People said thanks yous, Someone gave her a letter, someone else shook her hand. And she walked away with her son...

- OMG, she shook my hand. I love you Patti....
She turned around one more time and waved at us...
- OMG, she knows I exist...!

Hand that was shook.

By the way, If you want to know why we celebrated William Burroughs birthday, read Just Kids.
By the way 2, she will be performing in Berlin this weekend and if anyone, who is in Berlin, reads this, please go there and get me a t-shirt!

Umbrella

Do you also think that the shape of an umbrella is fascinating?! Or perhaps I think so because of my love for rain?! I've never owned one though... Even living in the "rain city..." Only remember carrying it once with me, one day in November... heh...
